Whispers From the Studio Walls
A huge hello from my studio! Life is moving so fast, and I often find myself lost in my creative world. One of the blessings of my artistic journey is the freedom to navigate without the burden of others’ opinions. Life is too fleeting for that; only what truly matters should be allowed in while the rest is filtered out. Life isn’t as kind as I would hope, but that’s just part of the growing process. We continue to build worlds in the hope of coming together, primarily through love and loss — a story that keeps unfolding and encourages us to believe there is more beneath the surface than meets the eye.
Where Light Meets Shadow
I am deeply committed to the mission of using art to bring people together. This world I create in the dark has always been a reflection of who I am, offering glimpses into my personal life and the beauty I find in our souls amidst our forever-changing world and challenges; I find solace and gratitude in my work. It’s about moving forward, becoming a better version of myself, and reaching the other side in peace. Because, as I always say, nobody is perfect, not even art.
Brushstrokes of Becoming
This journey of creativity has been a significant part of my personal growth. It inspires me to embark on your journey and experience the joy of creating, not just in art but in all aspects of life.
Echoes of the Unseen Effort
Here we are in June, and so much has happened in the past few months.
Our website has been updated, thanks to Nicole’s hard work. The new custom features look fantastic, and I couldn’t have done it without her. Your dedication is truly appreciated.
Let’s see all the highlights. We are returning to the Yegwalk, which is very exciting, from July 11th to the 13th. I’m excited to share my original pieces, prints, and other unique items with you. I’ll also have some special items that aren’t available in the Emporium shop. I hope to see you there! Please stop by, say hello, and take a closer look at my original art in person, which is always an experience.
Kindness in the Unfolding
We are featured in a spotlight in the Women’s United magazine, which will be published in late July or August, so that is exciting. I’m looking forward to seeing that. This publication is incredibly kind and wonderful. I thoroughly enjoy working with them. Additionally, I conducted an interview with ArtistCloseup magazine, which was a pleasure to write. You can find that on their blog.
To my surprise, I was utterly taken aback when I saw that it featured chained souls on its front cover. Wow! Another publication that was incredible and kind to work with. I’m just waiting for my copy so I can brag in a good way, lol. I am so grateful for everything words can’t describe. Sometimes, I need to celebrate these highs to acknowledge all the hard work that no one else sees, which makes the road to success a long one. This hard, long road is incredibly satisfying, and sharing is the successful part.
Deadlines, Dreams, and Discipline
Currently, I have several paintings in progress, as it’s one of my busiest times of the year, with tight deadlines to meet my goals. I have many opportunities, but sometimes, slowing down and taking my time is what I need to accomplish what’s ahead for the year, so it all gets my attention. I dislike half-measures, and I am incredibly passionate about my craft; striving for excellence is a daily part of my discipline.
Ink Runs Faster Than the Voice
As you can see, I can write for hours and probably love to write more than I speak. My brain keeps up with me at a faster speed than I can talk, where my thoughts are more rapid than the words that come out, so it’s not always enjoyable, but hey, it’s manageable.
Where Stories Begin Again
Now that the website has been updated and looks fantastic, I can publish these blogs regularly, which is exciting. Stay tuned; this is where you’ll hear all the good news first. Thank you for being a massive part of my journey of love and loss as I share my experiences and creations with you. Your support and participation are invaluable to me.
I look forward to continuing this journey with you. Until next time, thank you.
